REVIEW STICKY PASSWORD FREE

Have you just about run out of phrases, dates, and names that add up to strong but memorable passwords? And yet you're constantly being prompted to update your old passwords with new, strong passwords, or you have to create new one when you forget your logon ID or password, again. Sound familiar? What you need is a tool that can generate, manage, and store strong, secure passwords for all your access points. Lamantine Software's Sticky Password Free is just such a tool. It can create strong passwords for all your sites and apps, store them in securely with encryption on your PC or a USB drive or other remote device, and log you in automatically. It's compatible with Chrome, Firefox, IE, and other browsers, and it can import data from browsers and other programs. It supports multiple accounts so each user can have their own master password and database. It backs up passwords automatically so you can retrieve lost passwords if necessary. It even stores secure memos. The fully functional freeware version is limited to 15 accounts.

Sticky Password Free opened with a Configuration Wizard, which started with creating a Master Password. The wizard rates password strength. Users must verify they've read a text box describing the importance of the Master Password to be able to click Next. The next step is to install autofill plug-ins for your supported browsers, including an optional but advised step to disable each browser's limited built-in password managing feature to prevent conflicts with Sticky Password. Finally, we entered our Master Password to unlock Sticky Password.

Sticky Password Free's colorful interface is dominated by three large buttons: Getting Started, Web Accounts, and Identities. A toolbar replicates all three and adds Bookmarks and App accounts. Naturally, we started with Getting Started, which includes a tutorial describing how to unlock and manage the program via its systray menu, which also opens the Password Generator and the Quick Launch Box. We configured our Web Accounts, which included importing data from multiple sources via a wizard. That's just for starters; Sticky Password Free is a flexible tool that does a lot.
Sticky Password Free creates strong passwords for you and securely stores your passwords and gives you automated login for websites and applications, plus online form-filling at the click of a button. Sticky Password FREE supports Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and major browsers. Your passwords and personal data are securely encrypted on your computer or USB device and accessible only by you. Sticky Password Free supports multiple logins and passwords for each password account. Quickly and easily import your passwords from browsers and other programs. Automatic backup of the encrypted password database ensures that you can restore past passwords if you ever need to. All Microsoft accounts on the protected computer have their own individual password database, so you don't have to worry that family members will have access to your password through their MS accounts.

What's new in this version: Version 6.0.3.368 has added option to start sticky password minimized to systray and fixed support for auto fill on many website.Click to see larger images
